Bobby Phillippie

Burlington, NC Bobby Ray Phillippie, age 75, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a native of Alamance County and the husband of Elizabeth Stanley Phillippie who survives. Bobby was an active member of Kimesville Road Baptist Church. Bobby loved restoring old cars and he received many trophies for his craftsmanship. He loved blue grass music and camping. Bobby was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Survivors include his wife of the home, Elizabeth Stanley Phillippie; sons, Donald Phillippie and his wife, Jeannie of Mebane, Ronald Phillippie and his wife, Dee of Burlington, David Phillippie and his wife, Lisa of Haw River; step sons, Chris Puckett and his wife, Renee of Burlington, Bryon Puckett and his wife, Wendy of Winterville, NC; six grandsons and one granddaughter; three great grandsons; sisters, Marie Forbes, Brenda Allen, Fannie Marley, Alice Marley and Lucy Culberson; brothers, Glenn Phillippie, Willard Phillippie, vJune and Burn Phillippie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everette and Dessie Smithey Phillippie and a brother, Leonard Phillippie. The Phillippie family would like to express their thanks for the many acts of kindnesses by friends and extended family; especially Lester and Beth Marley, Bobby and Carol Talley and a dear friend, Sharon Perry. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 31, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Tim McCann and assisted by Pastor Richard Silver and burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home and other times at the home.
