Haw River-Bobby Lee Page, age 78 went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a native of Alamance County and the husband of 29 years to Ann May Black Page who survives. Bobby was retired from MGM as the transportation manager and was currently an independent contractor for Workers Comp. He was a US Army veteran and attended Integrity Church. Bob was a member of the VFW and the Moose Lodge. He was an avid Atlanta Braves and Nascar fan. Bob was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Ann May Black Page of the home; daughter, Tina Page-Cates and husband, Steve of Burlington and a step son, Anthony Keith Black and Kaye of Haw River; grandchildren, Scott Lyon, Dillon Page and Lexi Page; great grandchildren, Brian Leonard and Emily and Lauren Leonard; brothers, Elton Page and wife, Maria of Winston Salem and Russell Page and wife, Faye of Burlington; canine companion, "Roxie". He was preceded in death by his first wife, Catherine Pugh Page; step daughter, Renae Lyon; son, Barry Lee Page; parents, Carlton William and Ola Cobb Page; sisters, Grace Swain, Winifred Porterfield and Margaret Bailey; brothers, Moses, Settle, CW and Floyd Page. The Page family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice for their kind and compassionate care for Bobby during his illness. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 11:00 am at Lowe Funeral home Chapel by Rev. Ernie Smith and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Monday at the funeral home and other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers memorial s may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
