Bobby Nelson

Bobby Warren Nelson 63, of 1561 Deep Creek Church Rd. went to be home with the Lord Monday, November 12, 2007. He passed away at the Duke Hospice Inpatient Facility at the Meadowlands. He was the husband of Marilyn Dunn Nelson and the son of the late William Robert and Kathleen Hayden Nelson. Bobby was a native of Caswell County and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Honda Power Equipment and was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church where he had served as the Treasurer and attended Hopedale Christian Church. Bobby was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife of the home, daughters; Lisa Baynard and her husband Joe of Fuquay-Varina, Jennifer Franks and her husband Randy of Elon, grandchildren; Joseph Baynard, Rachel Franks, brothers; Kent Nelson and his wife Yvonne of Roxboro, Wayne Nelson and his wife Julie of Prospect Hill a sister-in-law Pam Nelson of Prospect Hill. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ricky Nelson. The celebration of his home going will be 11:00 AM Friday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bob Cauthren and Rev. Edsel Caviness. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home.
