Bobby Brown

Bobby Lee Brown, 72, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015. He was born May 5, 1943 in Guilford County to the late Andy A. and Mary Davis Brown. After retiring from H. G. Strickland, Bobby spent his days working hard to help those he could. Always on the go, he loved to work outside and on his cars. Being an avid race fan, Bobby also enjoyed attending the local races on Friday and Saturday nights. Having touched many lives and created many bonds with friends, his heart of gold will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his daughters, Gina Mike Bledsole of Whitsett, Carla John Waldron of Denver, NC; grandchildren, Josh Kimberly Waldron, Blake Amber Bledsole, Luke Waldron, Seth Waldron; sisters, Vallie Jim Palmer of Whitsett, and Clara Combs of Burlington, and brothers Andy Worda Brown of Whitsett and Melvin Brown of Whitsett, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Pauline Duckworth and brother James Brown. The funeral will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday May 27th at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. John Waldron. Interment will follow in Springwood Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home of his daughter Gina Bledsole.
