Boaz Euliss, Jr.

Boaz "Hutt" Hutton Euliss, Jr., 75, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Duke University Medical Center after a 18 year courageous battle with cancer. He was born December 26, 1942 in Alamance County to the late Boaz Hutton Euliss, Sr. and Mabel Sharpe Euliss and was married to Ruth Carolyn Layell Euliss for 56 years. Along with his wife they owned and operated H&T Sales and Distribution in Hillsborough, after retiring they moved to Emerald Isle. He was a member of Salter Path United Methodist Church and Hillsborough United Methodist Church for 23 years. Hutt enjoyed fishing and being a handyman around home and helping others. He was always happy and glad to see you. His real joy came from spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Carolyn Layell Euliss; a son Boaz "Trev" Hutton Euliss III and wife Kristen; grandchildren; Jordan Euliss Shaw and husband Kyle, Beau Euliss, Annabelle Euliss, Bradley Euliss, Barron Euliss; a brother, Rollie Wayne Euliss and wife, Pat; sisters, Toni Hart and husband Gene and Cherry Munn.
The service to celebrate his life will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Al Horne and Rev. David Branham. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends 12:45 - 1:45 PM Saturday prior to the service.
The family would like to thank Dr. Carlos DeCastro and nurse Rhonda Laney for care and support over the years and all the nurses and staff of ICU of Duke Medical Center.
