Blanche Janey

Graham, NC Blanche Jones Janey, age 83, of 6516 Preacher Roberson Road went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at her home surrounded by her family. Blanche was born in Mayodan, NC on May 22, 1924 to Buford Reed and Ollie Bell Shelton Jones. She was the wife of 65 years to Rev. Willard P. Janey who survives. Blanche was a homemaker and member of Belmont Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Willard Larry Janey and his wife, Beatrice of Burlington, Gerald W. Janey and his wife, Sheila of Graham; daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly Annette Morris and her husband, Richard of Graham, Mary Bowden and her husband, Kenneth of Burlington; grandchildren, Dwayne Janey and his wife, Paula, Connie Grizzle and her husband, Ricky, Rev. David Janey and his wife, Kim, Stacy Janey, Richard Chad Morris and his wife, Jodi, Robbie Morris and his wife, Christy, Richelle Morris, Ryan Bowden and his wife, Tina, Seth and Tyler Bowden; great grandchildren, Michele and Kristi Janey, Taylor Denise and Faith Brook Grizzle, Micah and Hannah Janey, Emily Morris, Brianna Bowden, Hayden Morris; sister, Ina Faye Callaway of Farmville, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law, Howard Jones and his wife, Betty of Sanville, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Laura Denise Janey; brothers, Noel, Esmond, Thurman and Marion Jones; sisters, Alma Wray, Ann Gibbs and Esther Choplin. The Janey family would like to express their appreciation for the kindness and compassion given to Blanche by the staff and nurses of Hospice. The funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, March 21, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Belmont Baptist Church by Rev. Larry Janey, Rev. Danny Miles, Rev. Otis Chandler and Rev. Garland Simmons and the burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
