Bishop McBride

Burlington-Bishop Odell McBride,93 went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday at the Hospice Home surrounded by his family. He was a native of Yadkin County and the husband of Carolyn Sue Foster McBride who survives.
Bishop McBride was a pastor for over 30 years of New Life Church of God. He was a graduate of East Coast Bible College affiliated with the Church of God. Odell never met a stranger and enjoyed sharing his love of Jesus with everyone he met. He was a loving and devoted Christian husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn McBride of the home; daughters, Karen Noel and husband, Michael of Canton, Ohio and Sharon Noel and husband, Charles of Columbus, Ohio ; sons, Dan McBride of Greenville and Jerry McBride and wife, Deborah of Durham, Russell Faircloth and wife, Carolyn of Burlington and Stephen Faircloth of Reidsville; 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Ruby Mae McBride; parents, Charlie Arthur and Mary Bryant McBride; brothers, Elmer, Ray, Ernest, Lonnie and John McBride; sisters, Lucy Spicer, Lillie Perdue and Myrtle Anderson.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 11:00 am at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Russell Faircloth and Dr. Russell Morris and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
