Billy "Ronnie" Ronald Whitlow

Billy “Ronnie” Ronald Whitlow, 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at AuthoraCare Hospice.

Ronnie was born August 7, 1948 in Person County to James and Cora Whitlow.  A decorated war veteran, he served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  He worked for Electrical Equipment Company and Baldor Motors, retiring from both companies after many years of service.  In his free time, Ronnie’s passion was collecting antiques and he also was very involved with his local branch of the VFW.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Wright Whitlow, sister, Joyce Turner, and son in law, Dustin Seamster.

Ronnie is survived by his daughters, Marty Seamster of Burlington and Becky Garten and husband Ryan of Richmond, VA; grandson, Dylan Seamster; siblings, Jimmy Whitlow, James “Dicky” Whitlow, and Brenda Loy; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.

Ronnie will lie in state from 8 AM – 5 PM on Friday, September 1, 2023, at Lowe Funeral Home.  Interment will be private.
