Billie Mitchell

Southport, NC-Billie Pegram Mitchell, 78 went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 3, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Daniel William Pegram and Mary Louise Upton Pegram Underwood.
Billie was the former owner and operator of Friendly Family Care Nursing Home. She was a member of Kinnett Memorial Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Claire Mitchell and fiancée, Michael Kennedy of Madison; son, John Mitchell and wife, Kara of Winnaboe, NC; granddaughters, Danielle Mitchell and Caroline Mitchell; great grandchildren, Karlee Rudd, Carson and Porter Bolton; brothers, Richard Pegram and wife, Kathy of State Road and Frankie Pegram and wife, Barbara of Summerfield and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and step father, Geroge Underwood; sister, Nancy Felch and brothers, David and John Pegram.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Steve Hinton and Rev. Don Pegg. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. There will be a private burial.
