Billie Miles

Burlington, NC Billie Sue Cates Barnhardt Miles, age 75, of 536 Central Avenue went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 25, 2007 at Liberty Commons. She was a native of Rowan County and the wife of William Franklin Miles who survives. Billie Sue was a homemaker and a member of First Christian United Church of Christ. She enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Kay Barnhardt of Burlington, Harold and Joni Barnhardt of Whitsett, Charles and Catherine Barnhardt of Pleasant Garden; step son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Natalie Miles of Haw River; grandchildren, Natalie Barnhardt, Emily Barnhardt, Brantley Barnhardt, Weston Barnhardt, Adam Barnhardt and Meredith Miles; brother, Robert Lee Cates of Southport. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Charles Elbert Barnhardt; parents, Ralph and Ruby Webb Cates and numerous siblings. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Mark Nanney and Rev. Ben Bishop and the burial will follow at St. Marks Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:15 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
