Bill Garner

BILL GARNER William Thomas Bill Garner, age 91 of 305 Runnymede Lane, passed away Saturday December 9, 2006 at his residence. A native of Union, SC., he was the husband of Dora Lee Greeson Garner of the home and son of the late Joseph Henry and Lillian McBride Garner. Mr. Garner was retired from Celenese Corp. and later retired as Maintainance Supervisor for Bank of America headquartered in Charlotte. He was a former member of St. Marks Church and was a WWII Navy veteran serving on the USS Bower in the Pacific. Survivors include his wife Dora Lee Greeson Garner of the home; daughters, Patricia G. Bennett of Summerville, Vicki G. Campbell and husband Paul of Goose Creek and son Karl Raymond Garner and wife Mindy of Summerville; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; brother, Sydney Garner of Front Royal, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Wayne Thomas Garner. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday December 12, 2006 at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ben Bishop. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Mr. Garner will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory through the funeral service.
