Beverly Ward

Rutherfordton, NC Beverly Rozelle Collins Ward, age 73, formerly of Burlington died on Friday, June 27, 2008. She was a native of West Virginia and the daughter of the late Peter Lee and Jessie Rozelle Collins. She was a former member of Glen Raven Baptist Church and a homemaker. Beverly is survived by her daughters, Barbara Ward of Cary, Connie Ward Johnson of Burlington, Brenda Bartlett of Rutherfordton, Linda Ward Ammons and her husband, Rick of Black Mountain and Jessica Ward of Swannonoa; sons, David Ward and his wife, Karen of Marshall, Ronnie Ward of Swannanoa and Richard Ward of Asheville; twenty grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren and her brother, Sheldon Collins of Jonestown, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her husband, Levi Olin Ward; daughter, Denise Ward Rose; son, Michael O. Ward and her parents and a brother, Dale Collins. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Pine Hill Cemetery by Rev. Bobby Fann and assisted by Ronnie Hodge.
