Beverly Maxwell

Mrs. Beverly Miller Maxwell, age 86, of Burlington, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after several months of failing health.
Born in Cumberland County, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Amy Young Miller and was married for over 70 years to William C. "Billy" Maxwell, who survives. She was a career homemaker and was a longtime member of Grove Park Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading fishing and spending time with her family, along with traveling and staying at their homes in Myrtle Beach and N. Ft. Myers, FL.
Mrs. Maxwell is survived by her husband of the home; three children, Karen Spangler and her husband, Howard, of Lexington, Terry Maxwell and his wife, Lynne, of Lake Norman and Dick Maxwell of Greensboro; four grandchildren, Mendie Timberlake, Kristan Johnson, Britt Maxwell and Brandon Maxwell; five great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Barbara Garmilla.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Magnolia Cemetery by Rev. David Morton.
