Betty Frances Kimrey Wrenn, 90 years young went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 3, 2022 at her oldest son’s home. She was born on September 10, 1931 in Alamance County, the oldest of ten siblings to the late Lewis Cone Kimrey and Murphy Rierson Kimrey, and was the wife of 67 years to the late Cletis F. Wrenn who died in 2017.
Betty was a homemaker and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Mebane.
She is survived by her three sons, Barry Wrenn and wife Mary, Harold Kent Wrenn and wife Rita and Donald Wrenn and wife Joy; a daughter, Lisa Putnam and husband Russell; numerous grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren, step great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and great great great grandchildren; brothers, Hal “Doodle” Kimrey and Jimmy Kimrey; sisters, Ann Forrester and Deborah Cheek and husband Tony.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Cletis; a son, Roger Allen Wrenn; her granddaughter, Tabatha Reber; a great great great grandson, Mateo Gutierrez; her parents; brothers, William Kimrey, Hobart Kimrey and Larry Kimrey; and sisters, Nellie Euliss and Eula “Tootie” Smith.
The funeral service will be held 2:00pm Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Tabernacle Baptist Church by Pastor Chip Sellew with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7pm Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory.
The family would like to thank the Hospice nurses and staff for their loving care and compassion that was given to Betty during her illness.
