Betty Sue Causey Solomon, 76, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 3 2024 at White Oak Manor. She was born in Horry County, South Carolina on May 22, 1948 to the late Chip and Maybell Faircloth Causey and was the wife of 34 years to the late Joseph “Dan” Daniel Solomon who died in 2023.
Betty retired from Duke University Medical Center. She enjoyed playing cards, duck pin bowling but most of all she loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her twin daughters, Maryann Tucker and her husband, Travis and Carolann Lawyer; step children, Kevin Solomon and wife, Emily and Ashley Solomon; grandchildren, Christina, Zack, Charlie, Addison, Shane, Erin, Breanna, Samantha and Jessi; great grandchildren, Anniyah and Brooklyn; her brother, Austin “Wakley” Causey and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and eleven siblings.
A service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held at 11:00am, Friday, September 6, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Tadd Grandstaff with the burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Mebane. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:45am prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at her daughter, Maryann’s home in Gibsonville.
