Betty Small

Burlington, NC Betty Glenn Small, age 66, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 22, 2008. She was a native of Alamance County and the daughter of the late Howard O. Glenn and Mellie Rose Peele who survives. Betty retired from Brookshire Hosiery Mills, formerly Lemco, after 38 years. She enjoyed cooking, growing flowers and eating out with her special circle of girl friends. Betty was a loving and devoted daughter, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her mother, Mellie Rose Peele of Burlington; her companion, Jimmy Keatts of Burlington; sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony Lynn Small and his wife, Elizabeth Ward Small of Burlington and Walt "Buzzy" Frazier and his wife, Cindy of Covington, Louisiana; daughter, Sylvia Meabon of Oak Island, NC; grandchildren, Nicholas Meabon, Daniel Meabon, Chad Frazier, Todd Frazier, Leah Frazier, Shane Small, Garrett and McKenzie Small; sisters, Carolyn Glenn Powell of Elon and Elva Dare Glenn Clayton of Gibsonville. She was preceded in death by her father, former husband, Benny Small and her sister, Jane Glenn Williams. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel and the family will receive friends from 2 until 3:45 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 25, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Pine Hill Cemetery.
