Burlington Betty Sue Smith Norman, age 83, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2011 at White Oak Manor. A native of Forsyth County, she was the wife of the late Aldie Lee Norman and daughter of the late Joseph Arthur and Leona Arvesta Allen Smith, Sr. She was retired from Kayser-Roth. Mrs. Norman is survived by her daughters, Susan Fear of Graham and Judy Norman of Madison; son, Steven Michael McHone and wife Pam of Gibsonville; grandchildren, Kim McHone of Greensboro and Danielle Jones of Gibsonville; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Florence of Gibsonville and Karsen Kernodle of Gibsonville; brother, Joby Smith and wife Polly of Mt. Airy; sister-in-law, Vada Smith of Mt. Airy. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother, Bill Smith. A memorial service will be held at 6:00pm Wednesday, September 7, 2011 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Tommy Love. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home follow the memorial service. At other times the family will be at the home of Danielle Jones; 120 Eva Dr., Gibsonville, NC. The family would like to express their gratitude for the special care given their mother by the staff of White Oak Manor.
