Betty Jean Allred Moody, age 85, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
A native of Caswell County she was the daughter of the late Joseph Tennon Allred and Edna Miles Allred and was married for over 17 years to Clyde Thomas Moody who passed in 2018.
Betty was a member of Glencoe Baptist Church, where she attended faithfully for many years. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach with her sisters and any family gatherings.
Betty is survived by her sisters; Doris Hyler, Peggy Faucette and husband, Phil and Frankie Sartin and husband, Earl, grandchildren; James Wrenn and Jamie Faucette, step-daughter; Kim Hodge and husband, Johnny, step- granddaughters; Amanda Hodge and Julie Hodge and sisters-in-law; Helen Smith and Lynda Allred. She was preceded in death by her husband; Clyde Moody, son; James “Jay” Wrenn, parents; Joseph and Edna Allred, brothers; Jim Allred, Bobby Allred, Pete Allred and Billy Allred as well as a sister; Ruby Hall.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Baynes Baptist church by Pastor Darrell Massey with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 2:45 prior to the service at the church.
