Betty Loy

Betty Moody Bryant Loy, 73, of 289 Loy Dr. passed away at her residence Wednesday, August 13, 2008. Mrs. Loy was born November 9, 1934 in Alamance County to the late Charles Henry and Donnie Mozelle Moody. She retired from Gold Toe and was a member of First Baptist Church in Yanceyville. Survivors include her husband, Joe C. Loy of the home; four children, Carla Bryant of Pelham, Clifton Bryant and his wife Leigh of Pelham, Sandra Cox of Pelham, Catherine Swinney and her husband Albert of Graham, and Cheryl Wheeler and her husband Eugene of Graham; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two brothers, Joe Moody of Burlington and Bill Moody of Liberty. Betty was preceded in death by her previous husband, Richard Bryant; her parents, and two grandchildren, Mellisa Wheeler and Virginia Swinney. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Phillip Kelly officiating. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of Cheryl Wheeler 655 Boggs Ranch Rd. Graham.
