Betty Hayes

Betty Jean Carolyn Felts Hayes, age 79, passed away Saturday, December 20 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents Louise Felts, Raymond Felts, and a brother Raymond Felts, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years of marriage, Samuel Brady Hayes and two daughters, Jeannine Fuquay Thomas and Jamie Sanders Bill and the apple of her eye her grandson Will Sanders. She also leaves her sisters Jerri Hemric, Barbara Jones and Helen Blevins and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was a loving and much loved wife, mother and grandmother. Her love for Christ showed in everything she did and we all benefited from her numerous prayers of love. She loved her church and played piano, in which she passed on her love of music to her grandson. There will never be a way we can express how much we loved her and how much she will be missed. We know without a shadow of doubt that she is in heaven and her greatest joy would be to know you will be also one day. The funeral will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 11:30 -12:45 Tuesday prior to the service and at other times at the home.
