Betty Harrison

Betty Steelman Harrison, 84, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017 at the Hospice Home after several years of declining health. She was born in Ashe County to the late Howard and Ethel Miller Steelman and was married to the late John Wesley Harrison. She was a member of Burlington Assembly of God where she was very active in several church ministries.

She is survived by her daughters, Julie (John) Blythe, Jill Harrison Loy; sons, Eric Harrison, Rob (Michelle) Harrison; grandchildren, Madison, Karley, Grace and Avery; sisters, Joanna Blank, Grace Shillinglaw, Margaret McNeil and brothers, Harold Steelman and Jimmy Steelman. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Mary Gough and brothers, Howard Jr., John, Bill and Samuel Steelman.

The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Burlington Assembly of God by Pastors Bryan Rainbow and Howard Thompson. The family will receive friends from 12:45-1:45 Tuesday at the church prior to the service.
