Betty Caviness Greeson

Betty retired after 28 years from Sears Catalog Center. She was a member of Mt. Hope United Church of Christ and her favorite pastimes were gardening and spending her days tending to her flowers. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed.

Betty leaves behind her daughter, Carolyn Feaster; a son, Michael Greeson (Susan); her grandchildren, Dennis Clapp (Laura), Julie Powell (Jay), Madeliene Greeson and Will Hennis; great grandchildren, Dottie Brock, Ashton Clapp and Ethan Powell; a great great grandson, Bentlee Wilson; her siblings, Gladys Shafer, Clifton "Tip" Caviness (Norma) and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Randy C. Greeson; her parents; siblings, Clarence M. Caviness, Dorothy “Dot” C. Hinton and Martha C. Greeson; son-in-law, Terry Feaster; brother-in-law, Odell Greeson; and sister-in-law, Deanne Caviness.

The family will be having a gathering on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at the daughter's home in Whitsett. Betty’s cremains will be buried at Mt. Hope UCC at a later date.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Lisa for all of her help and loving care and to the staff and nurses at Community Hospice for their compassion, loving care and support during Betty’s illness.
