Betty Dodson

Burlington Betty Mae Dodson, 82, formerly of W. Davis St. died Friday, December 3, 2010 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. Ms. Dodson was born September 12, 1928 in Durham County to the late Marshall Duke and Lillie Pickett Dodson. Betty worked for Western Electric for over 30 years and was a member of Cane Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include her brother, William Dodson and his wife, Doris of Hillsborough; a niece, Cathy Bivins and her husband, Doug of Statesville; two nephews, Johnny Dodson and his wife, Kim of Mebane, and Jimmy Dodson and his wife, Pam of Hillsborough; three great nieces, two great nephews, four great- great nieces and one great -great nephew; and two special friends, Violet Walters and Ann Fritts. A funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2010 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John "Jack" W. Edge officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorials can be made to Cane Creek Baptist Church, 6901 Orange Grove Rd. Hillsborough, NC 27278.
