Betty Davidson

Burlington Betty Parker Davidson, 98, of 917 Central Avenue, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2012 at her home. She was born in Pittsylvania County, VA on December 15, 1913 to the late John Allen and Mary Owen Parker and was the wife of the late Lloyd Stanhope Davidson. Betty retired from Burlington Industries after 46 years and was later employed at Robert's Dime Store. She was a longtime member of Hocutt Memorial Baptist Church. Betty is survived by 2 sisters, Thelma Hines of Danville, VA and Hazel Tapp of Burlington; her niece and caregiver, Trish Buckner and Trish's family Shannon Buckner and Logan Buckner; sister-in-law, Ethel Parker of Danville, VA, several nieces and a nephew. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Thursday, July 12, 2012 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jimmy Nicholston. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Mrs. Davidson will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory through the funeral service. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 6-8pm Wednesday and at the home at other times. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
