Betty Boone

BURLINGTON- Betty Love Boone, of Burlington, died Tuesday, February 7th 2012 at Hospice Home of Alamance Caswell. Betty is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jerrell "Pit" Boone; her daughters and their families, Lorri Boone Naylor, and her husband, Craig, and their daughter, Kristina, of Tampa, Florida; Tammy King, and her husband, David, and their daughter, Emilee, of Gibsonville; Tracy Abbatecola, and her husband, Ron, and their daughters, Jessica and Jenna, and sons, Brandon and Anthony, of Gibsonville; and niece, Lynn Carver and her husband, James, of Georgia; and a step-sister, Barbara Ann Lowe of Burlington. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Scott Love and Vannie Mae Whitley; one brother, Joe; and two sisters, Gerry Harris and Peggy Love. Betty was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church and served as the Choir Director for over 33 years. She retired from Lucent Technologies Western Electric where she sang in the Wenoco Chorus. Betty was a loving mother, faithful wife and steadfast friend to all in her community and graced everyone with her gorgeous voice. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Fairview United Methodist Church by Rev. Terry Huffines. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and condolences at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory on Wednesday, February 8th from 6-8pm and other times at the residence Memorials may be made to the Choir of Fairview United Methodist Church 3128 Osceola Road, Elon, and NC 27244 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road Burlington, NC 27215.
