Burlington - Betty Fay Wiggins Andrews, 85, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was born in Alamance County on March 18, 1932 to the late Adrian Dorsey Wiggins and Fannie Lee Pattishall Wiggins and was married for 57 years to the late Boyd Gerald Andrews who died in 2007.
Betty retired after 20 years with Lemco Mills. She loved flowers and was a member of Harvest Baptist Church where she was a member of The Inspirers Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Anne Peacock, Laura Staunton and husband, Tim; granddaughter that whom she adored, Ashleigh Brown and husband, Callum; great granddaughters, Gracie and Emma Brown; special niece, Billie Teague; great nephew, Tyson Teague and wife, Karin; great great nephew, Jaxon and a sister, Mavis Carver. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; siblings, Zelma Lewis, Katherine Williams, Hurley Wiggins, Muriel Lewis, Thomas Wiggins and Ida Tucker.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Walter Webster and David Winstead with the burial to follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45pm Wednesday prior to the service and other times at the granddaughters' home.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at White Oak Manor for all the loving care and support that was shown to Betty, especially to Loretha and Nakiesta. Betty wanted to thank her church family at Harvest Baptist Church for the love, prayers and kindness they have shown to her through the years.
