Bennie Lane Davenport, Jr. passed on Monday, August 1, 2022 at Alamance Regional Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born on April 14, 1959 in Alamance County to the late Bennie Lane Davenport, Sr and Phyllis Buck Davenport.
Lane retired from GKN after 39 years of service. Lane was an avid Hot Wheel collector
And NC State fan and loved watching football games with his wife. Lane was always humorous and loved telling stories. He was a loving and supportive husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of nearly thirty years, Debra Baker Davenport of the home; step daughters: Anna Rhinehardt Childers and Nancy Crystal Ramsey; granddaughters: Katelyn Bowman, Brianna Childers, Hailey Bowman, Coryn Wynn, Mikayla Wynn and Brooke Childers; brothers: Philip Lynn Davenport (Sherry) and Jeffrey Leon Davenport (Leslie); aunts: Peggy Stallings (Robert) and Jean Butcher; and Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with his parents, Lane was preceded in death by his step daughter, Lyndi Deanne Rhinehardt Wynn and his uncle, David Butcher.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm Monday, August 8, 2022 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Adam Bellamy. The family will receive friends after the service. You may watch the service and send condolences to www.lowefuneralhome.com.
