Baxter Faulkner

Burlington, NC Baxter Odell Faulkner, age 77, of 1406 Queen Ann Street went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a native of Alamance County and the husband of Dixie Rich Faulkner who survives. Odell retired from Carolina Hosiery and later retired from Dixie Siding and Windows. He attended the West Burlington Church of God. Odell was an avid Nascar fan and he enjoyed fishing in his spare time. Survivors include his wife, Dixie Rich Faulkner of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn Johnson and her husband, Dennis of Burlington, Amanda Squires of Richmond, Virginia, Brenda Smith and her husband, Kent of Orlando, Florida and Janice Faulkner of Burlington; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew Puckett and his wife, Shannon of Greensboro; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Johnnie Faulkner and his wife, Shirley of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Martha Sue Faulkner and an infant son; parents, Noah and Agnes Smith Faulkner; brothers, Edgar, Noah and Leonard Faulkner. A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, November 16, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Longs Chapel Christian Church Cemetery by Rev. Olin Tatum. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times the family will be at the home.
