Barbara Wells Wilson, 78, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Alamance Regional Hospital. Barbara was born on February 2, 1942 in Guilford County, NC to the late Elijah Lewis and Beannie Phelps Wells.

Barbara worked for many years at Northwestern Bank. She retired from the Register of Deeds office after 17 years of service. She was a loving, caring and selfless person that was thoughtful to everyone. Barbara was an inspiration to anyone who met her.  She loved working puzzles, reading and especially was a cat lover. She was a member of First United Methodist Church since 1991 where she served in many capacities.  She was a faithful member of Wesley Women’s Sunday School Class and volunteered in the Senior Adult Ministry and the Allied Churches of Alamance serving in the lunch program.

Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Motley Cottle (Chuck Cottle, Jr.); granddaughters: Megan Ingerick (Kevin Ingerick) and Maci Cottle; great grandchildren: Remington Ingerick and Kimber Mae Ingerick. and numerous cousins and family members.

A Graveside Service for family and close friends celebrating her life will be held on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Alamance Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Kellie Gallagher.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Norville Breast Cancer Center at Alamance Regional Medical Center, 1240 Huffman Mill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
