Barbara Sicks

Barbara Coble Sicks, age 66, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2009. She was born in Burlington, NC, and lived in Tampa almost 35 years. She was an 18 year breast cancer survivor who lost her battle to lung cancer. Barbara was the first female loan officer for Wachovia Bank in 1971. She was a very positive person and inspirational woman, who touched everyone she met. Her family and friends were the love of her life. Barbara is survived by her husband, Truman Sicks; son, Sam Warren and his wife, Julie and their children, Austin and Virginia; daughter, Stephanie Sicks and her soon to be born daughter, Addison; and her brother, Fred Coble and his wife, Sara of Burlington. A funeral service to celebrate Barbara's life will be conducted at 2:00 pm Monday, October 12, 2009 at Lake Magdalene United Methodist church in Tampa. A visitation for family and friends will take place on Sunday from 6-7:30pm at the church. Interment will follow in Arlington Memorial Park in Atlanta, GA.
