Autry Lee Wicker

Autry Lee Wicker, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at his home. He was born on November 5, 1939 in Alamance County to the late Roy Wicker and Mary Belle Green Wicker. Autry was the husband of 60 years to Marie Manuel Wicker who died on April 7, 2022.

He retired after 33 years with Kingsdown Mattress, Inc. Autry enjoyed going to the Barn Dance and listening to country and gospel music. He loved the outdoors, reading his bible and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter, Sandy Michelle Wicker Craven and husband, Gary; granddaughters, Jessica Burgess and husband, Randy and Allison Craven; a great grandson, Levi Jackson Burgess; sisters, Shirley Isley and Carol Strickland; several nieces and nephews; his canine companion, “Angel” and his feline companion, “Kitty Cat”. Autry was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John David Wicker and two infant sisters, Priscilla and Rachel Wicker.

A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00pm Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery by Eric Rudd.
