Ashley Reid

Ashley Nicole Reid, 29, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 at Duke University Hospital surrounded by her family, after a short battle with leukemia. She was born on May 10, 1987 in Alamance County.

Ashley was a 2005 graduate of Eastern Alamance High School and was formerly employed with Skid's II in Graham. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her parents, Angela and Michael Jennings of the home; a daughter, Nellie Jean Leigh; her boyfriend, George Leigh; brother, Bryant Jennings; sister, Kim Caudle and husband, Travis; aunt, Julie Talley and husband, Anthony; uncle, Scott Jennings and wife, Sheila; maternal grandfather, Ervin Whitt; paternal grandparents, Charlie and Roberta Jennings. She leaves behind several nieces, nephews and cousins to cherish her memory and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Sandra B. Whitt; maternal grandfather, Roger Mansfield and maternal great grandmother, Annie Mansfield.

The funeral services will be held 2:00pm Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with the burial to follow in Hawfields Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm on Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the parents' home.
