Arthur Snyder

Arthur Paul Snyder, 82, of Gibsonville went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 14, 2014 surrounded by his family at Moses Cone Hospital. He was born in Allentown, PA to the late Harry B. and Elsie Sechrist Snyder and was married for 59 years to Christine S. Snyder who survives. Arthur graduated from Washington High School in NJ and then attended Churchman Business College in Easton, PA. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Gibsonville and the American Legion. He proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict as a paratrooper with the 612th Army Airborne Quarter Master Company at Ft. Bragg. He is survived by his wife, Christine S. Snyder of the home; children, Kerry G. Snyder of Gibsonville, Pamela Snyder Minter of Baltimore, MD, Rick Ashley Snyder of Charlotte, Kelly Snyder Chris Brooks of Elon; grandchildren, Camden Hayes Brooks and Jackson Brooks and his canine companion, Puff. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Shirley Dalton and Helen Duryea. The funeral will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Gibsonville by Pastor Jim Upchurch with interment to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the residence.
