Arthur Robertson, Sr.

Arthur "Pig" W. Robertson, Sr., 80, of 2853 Long Pine Rd., passed away Monday, March 26, 2007 at his home. He was the husband of Peggie Gerringer Robertson for fifty-three years and the son of the late H. A.L. Robertson and the late Patty Baldwin Robertson "Pig" was born in Alamance County served in the Army during WW II and retired from Southern Bell after thirty-five years of service. He was a member of St. Mark's Church, the Telephone Pioneers of America, the American Legion and the Moose Lodge. Survivors include his wife of the home, a daughter Beth Money and her husband James of Burlington, sons; Arthur W. Robertson, Jr., Mark Lee Robertson and his wife Diane all of Burlington, sisters; Joanne Isley, Margaret Huffman, Wilma Loy all of Burlington and Becky Hyder of Asheboro. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Bud Desmond Robertson. The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at St. Mark's Church by Rev. Ben Bishop. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the residence.
