Arthur Canada, Jr.

Mr. Arthur Franklin “A.F.” Canada, age 84, of Elon, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at his residence after a brief illness.

Born in Person County, he was the son of the late Arthur Franklin Canada, Sr. and the late Maggie Holt Canada and was married for over 58 years to Mrs. Billy Cole Canada, who survives.  “A.F.” was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and served during the Korean War.  He was a career truck driver for over 45 years and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Canada is survived by his wife of the home; four children, Jim Canada and wife, Vickie, Teresa Canada, Patricia Kim and husband, JaeHwan, and Eddie Canada and wife, Jamie; eight grandchildren, Austyn Case, Zack Canada, Tara Crawford, Tony Crawford, Tyson Kim, Courtney Kim, Maddie Canada and Abigail Canada; one great grandchild, Samara Mitchell; and a sister, Lucille Chandler.  He was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings.

The family will be holding private services.
