Arthur Byrd, Jr.

Mr. Arthur Stanton "Art" Byrd, Jr., age 57, of Graham, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Hospice Home after several weeks of failing health.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Arthur Stanton "Stan" Byrd, Sr. and the late Christine Parker Byrd. Art's greatest pastime was taking rides with his parents or in the Ralph Scott van.
Art is survived by his sister, Paula Byrd Reardon and her husband, John, of Burlington; three nieces, Brittney Coleman and her husband, Jonathan, of Concord, Ryan Reardon of New York, NY and Maggie Nobles and her husband, Matt, of Charlotte; and two great-nephews, Jackson and James Coleman. Art is also survived by his "second" family of 32 years: the dedicated and loving staff of Ralph Scott Lifeservices and the individuals they serve.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, January 13, 2017 at Pine Hill Cemetery by Rev. Ray Wittman.
