Arteil Aldridge Cobb, 84, of Burlington went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Liberty Commons after several years of failing health. She was born in Caswell County to the late Lonnie Burch and Linnie Rudd Aldridge and was married for 62 years to Edward Marshall Cobb, who survives. She was formerly employed with Burlington Industries at the J. Spencer Love plant and later retired from Kayser-Roth. Mrs. Cobb was a member of Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband of Burlington; daughters, Sheron Dean Warren, Terry Gus Gusler, all of Burlington; grandchildren, Brad Brenda Warren, Kevin Gusler; great grandchildren, Brayden Warren and Brylea Warren and a brother, L.B. Louise Aldridge of Yanceyville. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Elsie Rudd. The funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday at Bush Arbor Baptist Church by Elder David Underwood with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of her daughter, Sheron Warren, 2659 Hamilton Rd., Burlington. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215 or to the Alzheimer's Association Eastern North Carolina, 3739 National Drive, Suite 110, Raleigh NC 27612. The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to the nurses and staff at Liberty Commons, Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell and at Clare Bridge of Burlington Manor for taking such good care of Mrs. Cobb.
