Arnold McKinnon

Arnold Edward McKinnon, 81, of Hanford Rd. passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the Hospice Home. He was born in Randolph County to the late William Baxter "Billy" McKinnon and Swanna McNeill McKinnon. He was married for 59 years to Clara Jean Garner McKinnon who survives. Arnold retired from AT&T, was a member of First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of the home, daughters, Cynthia Garner Tommy Forrest of Robbins, Julie Garner Jay Snow of Burlington; son, Eddie Howard Jo Clark McKinnon of Burlington; grandchildren, Amber McKinnon Alexander, Anna McKinnon, Adam Forrest, Andrew Forrest, John Snow and Jack Snow; great granddaughter, Emery Alexander; sisters, Elaine McKinnon Girgis of Seven Lakes and Linda McKinnon Richardson of Seagrove. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Golda McKinnon Pierce and brothers, Carl E. McKinnon and Roy G. McKinnon. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bryan Gregory and Rev. Tim Robinson. Interment will be at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall following the service. At other times the family will be at the residence. Memorials may be made to First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 2250 Saddle Club Rd., Burlington, NC 27215 or to the Hospice Home, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
