Arnold Roosevelt “Mo” Bryant, 85, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the Hospice Home of Alamance-Caswell. He was born May 13, 1935 in Alamance County to the late Claude Edward Bryant and Mary Lavenia Evans Bryant and was married to the late Barbara Thompson Bryant for sixty-two years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. “Mo” worked for Carolina Biological Supply for over 40 years in the Transportation Division and was a very active member of Glen Raven Baptist Church, where he sang in the choir and with a quartet. Arnold was a former member of the A-O Civitans and very active in the A-O community and was a former Boy Scout Troop Leader. He enjoyed riding on his John Deere tractor and working outdoors, but loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Mr. Bryant is survived by his son, Mark Dwayne (Wendy) Bryant; his daughter Anita Dawn Bryant (William Barry) Stewart; grandchildren, Alexandra “Ali” Bryant and Jacob Bryant; great grandchildren, Kevin Poole III and Kira Poole; a brother, Herbert Bryant; and two sisters, Frances Morgan and Betty Gerringer. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; a sister, Hallie Hall; and brothers Robert, Claude “Tuni”, Fred, Harvey and Allen Bryant.
The funeral will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Garry Baldwin and Rev. Bobby Fann. You are invited to attend or watch the livestream on the funeral home website www.lowefuneralhome.com. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Mr. Bryant will be available for viewing 11:30 AM – 12:45 PM Thursday prior to the funeral and other times the family be receiving friends at the residence.
