Anthony Younger

Anthony "Tony" Bryan Younger, Sr., 62, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the Hospice Home following a brief battle with cancer. A native of Guilford County, he was the son of the late Willie J. and Violet Woodburn Younger and was the husband of 35 years to Diane Blanchard Younger of the home. Tony graduated from A&T State University where he studied Electrical Engineering. He retired from General Dynamic and was the owner and operator of Younger Screen Printing. He and Diane were both members of the UNC Education Foundation. Tony was an avid UNC Tarheel fan. Tony is survived by his wife of the home; son, Bryan Younger II of the home; sister, Georgie Thompson and husband, Bob; brothers, Harold Younger and wife, Margaret, Michael Younger and wife, Annette; nieces, Kimberly Thomas and husband, Richard; Ashley Hiatt and husband, Keith; nephews, Kyle Younger, Walter Zimmerman and wife, Helena, Mike Younger, Matt Younger; great nephew, Tyler Thomas; mother-in-law, Sarah Blanchard; brother-in-law, Preston Blanchard and wife, Sandy and sister-in-law, Carol Younger. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard Younger. A service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00pm on Friday, October 4, 2013 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Darrell Cox. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Thursday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
