Annie Yow

Gibsonville, NC Annie Scoggin Yow, age 87, of 400 Steele Street went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 18, 2006 at Moses Cone Hospital. She was a native of Guilford County and the wife of the late Robert Flynn Yow. Annie retired after fifteen years with Carolina Biological Supply as a lab technician. She was a member of Christian Bible Fellowship and the AIA Ages In Action. Annie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Lethe Y. Walters of Gibsonville, Myra Beeker and her husband, Roger of Lynchburg, Virginia; grandsons, Randy C. McLeod, John Flynn McLeod, Walton Flynn Beeker and Foster Scoggin Beeker; great grandchildren, Alexander C. McLeod, J. Daniel McLeod, Sarah McLeod, Ian Andrew McLeod and Christian Flynn McLeod; sister, Maibelle Whitaker of Gibsonville. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, William Sydney and Cora Maxwell Scoggin; most recently her sister, Mazie Lowe; three sisters and one brother. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Bruce Readling. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at 518 Dick Street, Gibsonville, NC 27249.
