Annie Williams

Mrs. Annie Laura Corn Williams, age 96, formerly of Alden St., Burlington, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after several weeks of failing health.
Mrs. Williams was born in Patrick Co., VA to the late John Mickey Corn and the late Anna Biggs Corn and was married for over 40 years to the late James Stuart Williams, who passed in 1987. Laura retired at age 85 from Pickett Hosiery after many years in the textile industry. She was a member of Burlington Primitive Baptist Church and also attended Andrews Memorial Baptist Church.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Newton and her husband, J.C., of Sallisaw, OK and Patricia Holland and her husband, Richard, of Graham; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Hank) Duke, Jeffery Allen, Michelle (David) Taylor, Carey (Kenny) Owens and Mark (Mary) Holland; 11 great grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and infant son, James David Williams; three sisters; and one brother.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Burlington Primitive Baptist Church by Rev. Brandon Rouse. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 PM Friday evening and other times at the daughter, Patricia Holland's residence.
