Annie Simmons

Burlington-Annie Lee Jarvis Simmons, age 88 went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family. She was born in Wilkes County to the late Romie Clinton Jarvis and Cora Inscore Jarvis. She was the wife of the late Warren C. Simmons. Annie retired as a seamstress and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Burlington. She enjoyed flower gardening and cooking for her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Randy W. Simmons and his wife, Diane of Wake Forest; granddaughters, Skylar Nicole "Nikki" Simmons and Sydney Taylor Simmons both of Wake Forest; sister, Zelda Jarvis Henderson of Waxhaw; special friends, Dennis and Jesse Ayers, Phil and Sherry Davenport, Buddy and Eloise Ayers and Ruth Brooks. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brothers, Ralph, Leon, Paul, Dean, Ward and Doyle Jarvis. The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 11:00 am at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Terry Peele with burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
