Annie Mansfield

Burlington, NC Annie Carter Doss Mansfield, age 81, formerly of Elon-Ossipee Road went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 15, 2007 at The Oaks of Burlington. She was a native of Danville, Virginia and the wife of the late Thomas Jefferson Mansfield. Annie retired from Holt Hosiery and was a homemaker. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and a member of the Ladies Missionary Sunday School Class. Annie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Roger Dale Mansfield and his wife, Tina of Elon; daughter-in-law, Elsie Mansfield of Gibsonville; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, son, Joseph Lee Mansfield, Sr.; parents, Lee Doss and Mamie Thomas Doss; four brothers and two sisters. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Randy Hobbs and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of her son, 831 Shaw Road, Elon,NC 27244.
