Annie Dodd

Annie Shelton Dodd, 94, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at White Oak Manor. A native of Pittsylvania County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Sarah Fackler Shelton and was married to the late Charlie Gold Dodd. Mrs. Dodd moved to NC due to her job with Burlington Industries and later became a domestic engineer at home who devoted herself to raising her family, working on the farm and taking care of the home. She attended Altamahaw Pentecostal Holiness Church and was also a member of the ladies auxiliary there. She is survived by her daughter, Lynda Jesse Justice of Altamahaw; son, Conrad Brenda Dodd of Julian; stepdaughter, Joyce Evans of Elon; four grandchildren, Richard Wilborn, Robert Wilborn, Traci Dodd and Amanda Wright, and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, stepson, Claude Dodd, and siblings, Mary Hardy, Gladys Horton and James Shelton. The funeral will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. James Laws with interment to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7 Saturday evening at the funeral home.
