Annie Fay Hall Capes, 66, of Elmira St. went home to be with her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the Hospice Home after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Richard Capes and was born September 9, 1947 in Alamance County to the late Allie Montgomery and Annie Laura Roberson Hall. Fay was employed by Blethen Temporary Agency and Kyser Roth for a brief time. Primarily, she was a stay home mom and homemaker. She enjoyed being with family, reading, and working special events at her church. She was a member of God's House of Deliverance for over forty-five years. Survivors include her daughter, Beth Capes of Burlington, a son Major Chris Capes, U.S. Army, retired and his wife Tracy of Mebane, a granddaughter Jessica Capes, a sister Lois Kay Braxton of Durham and a nephew Sherman Braxton. The funeral will be held 11:00 AM Friday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Russ Faircloth, Rev. John Thornton, Jr. and Rev. Roby Turner, Jr. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home and at other times at 609 East Morehead St.
