Anne was a graduate of Pembroke College and realized a life time dream of being a teacher, first at Central School in Laurinburg, then at Cary Elementary School, and Smith Elementary School in Burlington. She was a loyal member of First Baptist Church of Elon for over forty years where she had an avid interest in missions, enjoyed visiting seniors in nursing homes and calling every church member on their birthday, serving on various committees, and freely giving of herself and her resources.
Her love for, and faith in, her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, finds her in the presence of God today, the only happy ending to a life well lived. We will miss her so much. Visitation will be at First Baptist Church - 621 E. Haggard Ave., Elon, Thursday, May 12, 2016 @10:00 AM to be followed by a celebration of her life at 11:00 AM conducted by Rev. Mason Smith and Rev.
