Burlington-Anna Bell Conway Hambleton, age 90 passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at ARMC surrounded by her family. She was formerly of Accokeek, Maryland and the wife of the late Rodney Pierce Hambleton. Anna Bell retired from the Prince Georges Maryland County School System. She was a member of Haw River United Methodist Church and was instrumental in starting the Bereavement Committee at the church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and spent her spare time gardening, reading and canning for her family and friends. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Patty Orndorff and husband, Gerald of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Carol Hambleton of Roanoke, Virginia, Penny Farren and husband, Jack, Sr. of Loris, South Carolina and Shirley Roberts and companion, Robert Fowler of Cynthiana, Kentucky; Nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; sister, Mary Anne Miller of Mt. Jackson, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, Wade Hampton and Lessie Sue Cox Conway; grandson, Kenneth Farren and son-in-law, Harold Roberts. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, July 10, 2105 at 11:00 am at Haw River United Methodist Church by Rev. Jeanne Neal and the burial will follow in the Haw River City cemetery. There will be a visitation and reception provided by the family from 5-7 pm on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.
