Anna Brown

Anna Willis Brown, 85, of McLeansville passed away on Friday, March 3, 2006 after two years of declining health. She was born in Guilford county, daughter of the late Eli Rankin and Mattie Gordon Brown. She retired from Bates Nitewear, was a member of Mt. Hope United Church of Christ and the Whitner Sunday School class. She is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, James Alton and Swannie Brown, Charles Burton and Jaynee Brown, all of McLeansville; 6 nieces and 2 nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother and sister-in-law, Herman and Louise Brown. The funeral will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, March 5, 2006 at Mt. Hope United Church of Christ by Rev. Dr. Walter Patten. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Saturday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of a niece, Linda Ayers, 4809 McConnell Rd., McLeansville, NC 27301.
