Ann Stout

Burlington Ann Jourdan Stout, 70, of Burlington passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was born in Lee County and was the daughter of the late Ralph G. and Maggie Talley Jourdan. Mrs. Stout was formerly employed as a dental assistant. Ann was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many, she loved her family deeply, especially her six grandchildren. She loved to watch college and professional football and was a huge fan of NC State and the Atlanta Braves. She also had a great love for her two little dogs, Baby and Cody. They brought her great joy in the last several years. She is survived by her daughter, Renee Larry Presnell of Asheboro; son, Gray Ruth Stout of Burlington; grandchildren, Hannah, Tye, Aaron and Sarah Presnell, Brendon and Elizabeth Stout; brother, Ralph G. Patsy Jourdan, Jr. of Elon; foster sister, Mary Sue David Riddle of Sanford and four nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Wednesday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Alamance Regional Medical Center for their help and compassion over the last several days. Ann's care and comfort was exceptional.
